Multimedia is always stored compressed and to play it special decoder is needed. Common name for these decoders are codecs. Codec may support encoding and decoding or only decoding. Video playback and export functionality in Enia player depends on codecs installed. Each codec is responsible for one or more multimedia formats. You may install codec on your own or use default codec pack integrated in Enia player installation.
Enia video player supports the following formats: avi, mov, mpeg, wmv, xvid, mp4. These formats differ by compression level and quality of video. In most cases it is easy to determine video file format by looking at the extension. For example if extension is .avi then video have avi format. The same is applicable for mov, wmv, xvid, mpeg and other formats.
These formats are not all possible but most popular. Also video may be in mkv, rm, h.264, qt and other format. If you have codecs for these formats installed then you may open them in Enia player. Enia player automatically detect necessary codec and use if it is present. By default only verified file formats are present In ‘Open Media file…’ filter list but you may select any file to play by changing filter as shown below.

Enia player interface allows you to perform any operation by 2-3 mouse clicks as maximum. Common operations present on toolbar panel while others in context sensitive menu appearing by right click on the video window.

Enia keeps information about window position and state, currently playing file and elapsed time, volume setting, mute and many others parameters. All that information is used to track preferred configuration of the interface. If you closed Enia and then start again you found that window looks the same and video on the same point as you left it.
In addition to interface configuration Enia supports hot keys. An available hot key is present after appropriative function description. For example ‘Full screen’ operation has Alt+Enter hot key. Play/Pause toggle is supported by Space button. Also Enia supports special ESC behavior – after pressing ESC during playback video automatically pauses and player minimizes. Such functionality is useful if you don’t want to share video with somebody else or looking at the office and need immediately reacts on your boss appearance. Alt + TAB is very well known combination and attracts attention.
Take screenshot of your favorite moment is extremely easy. Just press ‘Ctrl + S’ combination, point screenshot location along with name and select necessary file format. Another way is to press Screenshot button on the tool bar or select the same in the context menu. Name of the screenshot will be automatically added basing on playing file, current date and time to make search of screenshots easy.

The following picture compression formats supported: BMP, GIF and JPEG. Main difference between these formats is compression level and quality. BMP picture is the same as original cadre of the film and have no compression, so its size may be quite big. GIF and JPEG are quite similar but GIF have a bit larger size and looks very similar to original whereas JPEG have slightly different colors. On standard monitor it is quite hard to detect difference between JPEG and GIF, so both may be used without worry.
Some films have two or more sound tracks. For example one of them may be in English and another in French. Another example is ‘editor cut’ edition where additional sound track have comments on how the film was produced and curious situations during fieldwork.
Enia support multiple audio for the same video and switch is quite simple – just 2 mouse clicks. Right click on video to show context menu and final click to select necessary audio track.

Enia player supports unique feature allowing episodes creation for any video. This makes life easier as you are enjoying only favorite moments and don’t waste time on seeking interesting moment. You may create number of episodes of your favorite film, comedy show or sport show to watch with your friends. Episodes export to separate video file supported. Create your own collection of interesting moments!
Episode creation starts by pressing ‘Episode start’ button on toolbar. ‘Episode end’ button completes recording process and new episode will be created. You may see available episodes in special window after pressing ‘Show episodes’ button on the toolbar.

Episode have automatically generated name but can be renamed to reflect actual content. Also start and end time can be changed if episode doesn’t looks as you expected after creation.
Export of created episodes may be initiated after all necessary episodes selection. Just press ‘Export’ button then point filename and location.
After that relaxes and waits till export process completes. Sounds easy, isn’t it? Just few presses and you have your favorite moment ready.
